BDU:
Carwash
Intervention in public space, Weimar, Germany, 2006.
BDU wanted to go through a carwash just like everybody else does on Saturday morning, but without a real car in order to get themselves clean. They needed some kind of vehicle to get them through and were planning to build one themselves. The lease holder who runs the carwash found the idea funny and said yes,
his direct boss gave them his approval as well, BDU even found an
insurance company who agreed to insure their lifes. Everything was
ready, They collected 4 wheels, some fancy front seats and wetsuits,
but at the last moment the head of the company said no and now they
only have a documentation of the process, in form of correspondence and
a short film.
